Review of "Yuge! 30 Years of Doonesbury on Trump," by G. B. Trudeau

Review of

Yuge! 30 Years of Doonesbury on Trump, by G. B. Trudeau ISBN 9781449481339

Five out of five stars

While many people are surprised that Donald Trump was able to run for and capture the Republican nomination for president of the United States, there were warnings of the possibility decades ago. Garry Trudeau included the antics of Donald Trump in his hilarious “Doonesbury” strip starting in the eighties. While the specific actions are fictional, the general tone, temperament and business tactics of Trump are accurate.
The events depicted in this strip demonstrate that any expectation that Donald Trump will change is based on fantasy. Trump lives in his own world where everything else revolves around Donald Trump and every action is an attempt to get more attention for Donald Trump.
If it were restricted to the world of a comic strip, the actions and existence of Trump would be good for little more than a few laughs. However, now that there is the very real potential that he could be president, the outlandish nature of his life and business dealings become serious. If that were not the case, the contents of this book would be hilarious.
