Instaread Summary of Awaken the Giant Within How to Take Immediate Control of Your Mental,
Emotional, Physical & Financial Destiny! by Tony Robbins
Four out of five stars
Over the course
of my career as a reviewer, I have read many self-help books. This experience
prepared me to properly react when I read the list of 11 key takeaways in this
summary. All that may be needed is to change a word or two and they can
describe the contents of most other books in the self-help genre.
For example,
number one is
“The power of decision-making is the single most
important factor in personal growth and transformation.”
In other words, “Take charge of your life.” Sound
familiar?
Number seven is
“Personal responsibility is essential to growth and
transformation.”
Number eleven is
“People can learn to harness the power of their
emotions, positive and negative, to direct their lives in a more productive and
fulfilling way.”
This summary
does what all summaries are intended to do, push the reader to one side of the
read/don’t read matrix. In my case, I am wearing concrete galoshes on the don’t
read side. There appears to be little new or original material in the book.
