Review of
The
Ecology Files: Linked, ISBN 1563319918
Five out of five stars
This book is a
superb primer on the principles of ecosystems, how they vary from place to
place and how everything is recycled. Food chains from the plants up to the
highest level of the predators are described as well as how carbon and nitrogen
are bound and then released by the decomposers, only to be bound once again. Several
symbiotic relationships are also explained.
Although the
book is listed as being for students in the K-12 system, the information is
detailed enough that adults will find value in reading it. Specifically those
that argue for unrestricted development.
