This book is an
excellent primer on chimpanzees. The photos of chimps in the wild are very well
done, they have incredible detail and precision. Basic facts about the life
cycle of chimps are given, how they are cared for as children, what they eat,
their social structure, how intelligent they are and the dangers they face in
the wild. It is also mentioned that they are an endangered species, a very
important fact in the modern world.
It is written
at the level of the elementary school student and will give them all the
information needed to appreciate how important it is for the species to
survive. I strongly recommend this as an educational tool.
