Review of Instaread Summary of "Mayo Clinic Guide to a Healthy Pregnancy From Doctors Who Are Parents, Too" Edited by Rogers Harms & Myra Wick

Review of

Instaread Summary of Mayo Clinic Guide to a Healthy Pregnancy From Doctors Who Are Parents, Too Edited by Rogers Harms & Myra Wick

Five out of five stars
The book being described is another in a long list of books about how to emerge from a pregnancy with a healthy baby, mother and father. A great deal is due to the quality of the nutritional intake of the mother, healthy eating and the avoidance of detrimental substances such as alcohol are critical. An extreme case of Fetal Alcohol Syndrome is mentioned in the first key takeaway of the summary.
Advice on what to do when you are trying to conceive is also included in the book, looking through the nine key takeaways it is clear that there is not a great deal of new material that will differentiate this book from others in the field. Yet, it is also clear that the advice is sound. There is nothing new, yet it is all valuable when you are trying to have a baby and then figuring out what to do when the child is born. Difficulties such as postpartum depression are also covered.
