Review of
Instaread Infographic of Miller’s Valley by Anna Quindlen
Two out of five stars
I have also
read and reviewed the Instaread summary of this book, so I have some knowledge
of the subject of what is a summary of a summary in the form of this
infographic. Novels hold your attention by having complex characters dealing
with complex events in their lives, individual events can be simplistic, but
there must be some uncertainty and difficulties.
This creates
problems when there is an attempt to summarize the book where there is no
option to express an opinion based on identified positive and negative aspects
of the story. It is almost impossible to do justice to a novel via 36 pages
containing a simple image and a sentence or two of text. This infographic does
not jump that difficult hurdle.
There is not
enough content in this infographic to give the otherwise uninformed reader a
reason to either read or avoid this book.
