Instaread Summary of The Inevitable: Understanding the 12 Technological Forces That Will

Given the title
of the book being described, it is essential that any summary explain what
those twelve technological forces are. In fact, it should be the lead. This one
does not, which I consider a fatal flaw. At the end of the summary, I had no
specific knowledge as to what those 12 technological forces are. There are only
nine key takeaways, so the forces are not implied by the contents of that list.
However, there
is enough in this summary to make the book sound extremely interesting. As a
follower and a minor driver of advances in technology, I have read several
books on the current trends and this one ranks in the higher tier of interest. There
is a good chance that there was enough to push it into my “must read” category.
