The handle of this tool is soft rubber, making it easy to grip and it will not easily slip. The handle is 1.25 inches wide and 1 inch thick, so there is a lot to grab on to. The blade is 1 inch wide, 8 inches long and very sharp, making it capable of grating almost anything that you would want to grate.

 The stainless steel construction makes it easy to clean, fortunate because it would be very hard on any scrubber that would be used to clean it. The tool is dishwasher safe with a few normal precautions and there is a plastic sleeve that can be put over the blade to make it safe to handle.

 This is a high quality and sturdy kitchen tool that will give you years of service.
