Review of "Women of Substance: A Collection of Estrogen-Rich Cartoons" by Revilo

Review of
Women of Substance: A Collection of Estrogen-Rich Cartoons by Revilo

Five out of five stars
These cartoons appeal to the modern adult woman, describing the situations she faces and adjusts to on a regular basis. Many of the physical features and the situations that women deal with are snickered at. For example, there is the very modern version of the Garden of Eden story where the snake makes a very sensible and persuasive appeal to Eve. It says, “Eve, the fruit from this tree is completely non-fattening.”
My favorite is the one where a man is on his hands and knees vigorously scrubbing the floor. The caption is, “Walter found out too late that Helen’s secret fantasy had nothing to do with sex.” Another one that strikes a cord has the caption, “I like hairstyles that make it hard to tell when I’m having a bad hair day.” That is one I have heard in the workplace.
If you would like to have a few chuckles or give a gift to a female friend that needs a few, this book will serve you well.
