Review of "Destiny and Power The American Odyssey of George Herbert Walker Bush" by Jon Meacham, Instaread summary

Review of
Destiny and Power The American Odyssey of George Herbert Walker Bush By Jon Meacham, Instaread summary

This summary could be considered the “Cliffs Notes” version of the life of President George Herbert Walker Bush and I mean that in the positive sense. Reading it will quickly bring you up to a reasonable speed on the life and accomplishments of the man commonly referred to as Bush 41. In reading it through, you cannot help but be impressed by the accomplishments of the man, he was generally successful in everything he did. As president he deftly handled major changes in the world and successfully prosecuted a limited war in Iraq, although he is generally considered to have been a lower level president due to domestic economic problems.
With most of the summary about President Bush the man and what he did, there is reduced discussion about the book itself. The reader of the summary is forced to reach their conclusions based on the quality of the summary, which is excellent. One certainty that I came away with is that I will read the full book by Meacham.
