While he originally rose to fame as a football player,
Alex Karras was a multi-talented man. After his career as an athlete was over,
he became a successful actor in television and movies and a talented speaker.
In many ways, he is a role model for how pro athletes can have careers and
gainful employment when their days on the field are numbered. Unfortunately,
this book is a significantly abridged version of his life, at only 81 pages
with many illustrations, all descriptions are superficial.
Acceptable as
a simple autobiography written for teens, this book will disappoint readers
interested in some depth regarding the very interesting story of the life of
Alex Karras.
