 This is a pack that is very well designed to carry heavy loads over distances and in hot weather. The shoulder straps and surface touching your back are padded and have corrugations that will help dissipate perspiration. Two horizontal straps that wrap around your chest and abdomen will keep the pack from sliding if the wearer shifts their body from the vertical.

 The main compartment is accessed via a zipper down the full length of the side and there is a small pocket on the top that is approximately 4.5 inches square. It is accessed by a zipper that is perpendicular to the long axis of the pack. A smaller compartment on top of the main compartment is accessed via a zipper that is parallel to the long axis of the pack. This compartment is approximately 11 inches by 8 inches. There is a retractable mesh in a small pocket at the bottom that folds out to be latched to hooks near the top. Small pockets capable of holding bottles are on each side of the pack.

 This pack is very comfortable to wear, even when it contains a heavy load. This would also make it suitable for a school bag to haul heavy textbooks.
