First published
in 1956, the jokes in this book are rather tame by modern standards. However,
they were quite racy for the time. The few swear words are mild, the small
number of images rely on more subtle expressions of humor rather than more
explicit expressions of nudity.
This book is a
throwback to what was at the time considered to be the acceptable limits of
sexual humor. Some of them are now in the category of groaners, although a few
are still good enough to get you laughing.
