Review of "Walter the Farting Dog," by William Kotzwinkle and Glenn Murray

Review of
Walter the Farting Dog, by William Kotzwinkle and Glenn Murray ISBN 1583940537

Five out of five stars
This is a book that will illicit overwhelming giggles when read to a class of elementary school children. Walter is an otherwise normal and loyal dog, but he has a horrible flatulence problem in both volume and odor. This creates problems in his household as the adults have reached the point where they think it is time for him to be relocated. When Walter is instrumental in stopping a major crime, all is forgiven, and all the members of the family conclude that it is possible for them to tolerate the stench.
The subject matter is one that children will want to read and have read to them many times. The lack of decorum is more than made up for by the entertainment value. I strongly recommend this book to parents that want to read something that nearly all children will find funny.
