Review of Ellie's Best Beach Vacation Ever, by Marci and Elle Fair

Review of

Ellie’s Best Beach Vacation Ever, by Marci and Elle Fair ISBN 9780996363525
Five stars

Children love their stuffed animals, they are cherished friends that are often assigned human attributes. They are play and comfort mates, always there for them, a friend that never does anything bad. My daughter would never go on any trip without her “Fuzzy.”
Fuzzy friends on a summer vacation is the theme of this book, Ellie the elephant and Pudgy the penguin go on a fun vacation to a beach and they do all of the things that one does there. They built an enormous sand castle, swim and snorkel in the ocean, lounge and swim at the pool, eat a lot and sometimes just sit in a chair and soak up some sun. The last pages have them watching the sun set over the ocean.
The book is largely made up of photos of the two main characters engaged in their actions. Short segments of text at roughly the second grade reading level supplement the action. Children will love this book and it will no doubt serve as a primer for play actions that their favorite stuffed friends will engage in.
